BIG SMILE in Arabic pendant
This statement necklace is designed with the beautiful, flowing Arabic word ابتسامة, which means "smile." Hidden within the letters are two tiny smiley faces—can you find them?
Using a word to create its own shape is a design style I call "word art." At first glance, it looks like an elegant abstract design, but once you discover the hidden letters and smiley faces, it becomes a delightful surprise. It's a piece that naturally sparks conversations and brings smiles wherever you go.
There's a saying that "Arabic is a happy language because it has smiles in its letters." This necklace celebrates that playful idea, making it a meaningful gift for someone special—or a joyful reminder to wear a smile every day.
Although this is one of my larger designs, the open cutout construction keeps it surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. Its bold size makes a statement without feeling heavy, making it perfect for both everyday wear and special occasions.

Tips for plating jewelry
- Do not spray on perfume or other sprays while wearing gold/rhodium plated jewelry.
- Wait until your lotion or cream is dry or has been absorbed by your skin before you wear gold/rhodium plated bracelet or necklace.
- Substances like oil, nail polish, nail polish remover, chlorine, and perfume may react with metal/plated jewelry and cause it to tarnish. This is also true for sweat, so make sure you remove your gold/rhodium plated jewelry when you exercise or doing anything requiring heavy work and when swimming.
- After every use, clean your plated jewelry with a cotton ball or a very soft cloth to remove any dust and dirt. Gently rubbing the surface of your gold/rhodium plated jewelry using a soft jewelry cloth, helps restore shine. Do *not* use a polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.
- To avoid scratches, wrap your jewelry in a soft cloth after cleaning or keep it in a jewelry box separate from other types of jewelry you have. Small zip-locks work great
