Fly in Spanish Necklace – Andean Condor Pendant with “VOLAR”
This condor necklace is designed with the Spanish word “VOLAR,” meaning “to fly.”
It’s my first time using Spanish in my word art jewelry, inspired by a customer who asked if I could create a design in Spanish and by my recent favorite Argentine duo, Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso.
The word “Volar” appears in their song “Vida Loca,” which gave me the idea to create a bird.
I chose the Andean condor, one of the largest flying birds in the world, known for its impressive wingspan.
I haven’t decided whether to expand this Spanish series yet, but exploring a different language definitely expands my world.
Who knows where the next word will take me?

Tips for plating/coated jewelry
- Do not spray on perfume or other sprays while wearing plated/coated jewelry.
- Wait until your lotion or cream is dry or has been absorbed by your skin before you wear plated/coated bracelet or necklace.
- Substances like oil, nail polish, nail polish remover, chlorine, and perfume may react with metal jewelry and cause it to tarnish. This is also true for sweat, so make sure you remove your plated/coated jewelry when you exercise or doing anything requiring heavy work and when swimming.
- After every use, clean your plated jewelry with a cotton ball or a very soft cloth to remove any dust and dirt. Gently rubbing the surface of your plated/coated jewelry using a soft jewelry cloth, helps restore shine. Do *not* use a polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.
- To avoid scratches, wrap your jewelry in a soft cloth after cleaning or keep it in a jewelry box separate from other types of jewelry you have. Small zip-locks work great.
